The romantic village of Blesle is one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France. It can be traced back as far as the 9th century and has retained the charm of a medieval town, in its buildings, bridges and lanes. Nevertheless, the village of Blesle is known for the lively and smiling welcome of its inhabitants. Located close to the motorway and only 20km from Brioude and Issoire, Blesle is a village with several shops, cafes, workshops and galleries, a school, a college and lively cultural activity.
Blesle is known for its dairy, rye and lentil farming. During the night markets on Friday evenings you can taste local and organic products in a friendly and festive atmosphere: cheese, sausages, natural wines, beers, gentian and elderflower lemonade … surprise your taste buds and chat to the locals!
Nestled in the Alagnon valley, Blesle is known as the door to the Cézallier. Wide horizons, blooming hillsides, and the volcanic mountains of the Cantal and Sancy invite you to go hiking, mountain biking and partake of other outdoor activities.
